Math Essentials author and teacher Rick Fisher has provided several Math Essentials books for my 12 Days of Christmas giveaway. This is the third book up for grabs! The Pre-Algebra Concepts level is for students soon to start their first algebra class. It makes an excellent introduction to algebra or as a daily warm-up, review, remediation, and/or gap filler. It is set up much the same way as Books 1 & 2 and you can see my Math Essentials Book 1 review here!
Rick Fisher details this book as "a must for students who are about to start their first algebra class. Exponents, scientific notation, probability and statistics, equations, algebraic word problems, and coordinate systems are just some of the topics covered. Learn and master the essential topics that will ensure success in algebra and beyond."

I would love to benefit from his approach & methodology in an effort to teach my prealg student, Abi. Always looking to expand MY knowledge base and to look outside the box. Thank you for the opportunity to try it!
I like how it presents concepts, it looks like my oldest would love this.
I'm teaching a Pre-Algebra class at co-op in the spring! Would love to use this approach!
I've been looking at this program for months & would love to implement it in our home. Your posts on how you've used it are so helpful and encouraging.
My son is doing pre-algebra so this would be great for him.
My daughter would love this!
Look interesting!
Love it!
looks great
My son and daughter are both getting ready to start PreAlgebra. I looked at the samples and like that it has built in review and concepts are explained in an easy to understand manner.
Our Daughter is in Pre-Algebra now and is struggling! We just started looking into new curriculum choices. This would be such a blessing! Thank you!
I have never used this before. We need all the help we can get with math. My ds has now started intro. to Algebra (oh, boy). Any help is wonderful.
Based on the Table of Contents it seems the concepts are presented in a more logical order than other programs I've seen.
We could use this with our son. Love the built in review.
As my boys are still littles, I think I would use this for ME! I loved all algebra in middle and high school, but don't remember a thing!
We haven't used it yet, but filling in gaps is why we like the idea of it.
I like the idea that there is a book to introduce the potentially confusing concepts of algebra in a complete way.
looks like a great giveaway!
I have never used any of their stuff before, but my daughter is headed to this level and I hope to win.
Thanks!
I'm just starting the pre-alga with my Karie-- and I could use all the help I can get-- I'm really rusty at this-lol

Thank you so much for offering this giveaway...I hope we win!
Thanks!
I think I will like how organized the plan is, since I have a bit of a problem with being organized! I think it will lay it out in a way that it will be easier for me to understand HOW to teach it!
Looking forward to winning this!
This looks Amazing, would love to. Win this for my sweet boy.
I have not used it yet but if it has a DVD lesson it will be great my kids are visual learners.
I think I would like to use Math Essentials to strengthen my childs math skills and prepare them for Algebra.
I'm looking for a new math curriculum for next year and pre-algebra is where she will be so I'm super excited about this drawing! It sounds like this would be a GREAT fit for her!
My son is doing pre-algebra right now. I'm sure he'd be *thrilled* (wink) with more work! LOL Seriously would like to take a look!
I like the comment "It makes an excellent introduction to algebra or as a daily warm-up, review, remediation, and/or gap filler." Sounds like a great way to learn, especially for my daughter.
Sounds like a great way to be sure there's no gaps in knowledge for Algebra like when people switch curriculum too much and fail to hit all the topics.
We would love to try this out as I currently have a child in this transition, and getting grounded at this level is a must before approaching the more challenging levels, imho.
Thanks for the opportunity to win. yay!
blessings, Sheri
What we are doing currently isnt working and we would like to try something new. Their way of teaching it seems to be different.
I have not used Math Essentials before. Two of my children are starting Algebra soon and this would be a great introduction for them. It appears the concepts are easily explained so my children will understand, we need that!
My daughter will be taking Algebra next year. I would like to try this with her Thank you.
I believe that this would be the answer to my struggling Algebra I son. There are some concepts that he struggles with and this may just be the answer to helping him finish up Algebra I! :-) Thank you! :-)
This is a great giveaway! It looks to be very beneficial. Would love to win it :0)
